Inspire Me

5.6.11

Whether you are a pro at juggling work and home, or you just keep a smile on your face all the time - everyone can be inspiring in some way. The simple words "Hello. How are you?" followed by a smile can go a long way for someone having a terrible day.

I have a friend that has had a grim time lately between work and home - they just seem to be in a rut, so to speak. I realized that sometimes the issues that we are facing - work or home- may seem small to someone else having a rougher go at life. After our talk - about my own issues lately - I went home, and couldn't stop thinking of a way to perk her up.

I realized that simply letting her know that she has inspired me in MANY ways may actually help her. It might make her realize that what she is going through right now may not be great – but even while she's been struggling – she's helped me - and quite possibly many others - to better deal with my own struggles.

Sometimes the hand you are dealt may not seem deserving, but its how you play that hand that may inspire others to learn from you. As wonderful as it would be to hear that you inspired someone; it may make you feel just as good to say it to someone else. When things are hard, we need to stop to remember those who inspire us to be better mothers, fathers, sisters, friends, and co-workers.

With Mother's Day just around the corner, take the time to remember someone that has inspired you...it may not be your mother, but someone else's mother. The point is to make certain she knows.
