... We’re LIVE and we’re THRIVING!

Welcome to our newly-designed Reindeer website! We’ve put a lot of time and energy into designing a site that works for everyone – our clients, our customers, our carriers. We hope you enjoy the site as much as we do and we welcome your thoughts, ideas, praise... :)

Today, of course, marks more than just a site-launching day ... it’s a sobering day of remembrance ... eight years ago, our country faced a terrible tragedy – one that we will never forget. I can tell you with succinct detail exactly where I was, what I was doing, what I was wearing, when that first plane hit the tower. It’s a moment and a day and a year that will forever be a part of us all.

I listened to the barrage of news coverage on the television at lunchtime and was intrigued by one reporter who had turned his focus from the losses of 9/11 and instead focused on all the triumphs since. New growth, new businesses, unbelievable charitable acts. He wrapped his segment with the statement "America has done more than survive since 9/11 – we’ve thrived."

As I was contemplating how to start this blog, I found myself hesitating. How do I date the blog "09/11" and then talk about a new website?

But then ... that reporter’s statement jumped back in my mind. On a day like today, it’s easy to discount a milestone such as launching a new website as trivial ... but then pause and reflect: in actuality, it’s proof that we are thriving. We’re more than merely "still here." We’re growing – from four employees in 2001 to 40 fulltime employees currently. We’re moving on – literally, from a small rented office suite in downtown Indy to our own 22,000 square foot headquarters in Zionsville, Indiana. And we’re continually challenging ourselves to find better ways to meet our promise of "real. personal. service." This website is the proof.

So please ... celebrate this small milestone in our company’s history. And if the date makes you pause, much like it made me pause , remind yourself that 9/11 is about more than the loss and the grief. It’s about America thriving. I’m proud that our company can be a part of that process.
