Perfection
6.29.11
I am an avid Dog the Bounty Hunter fan- although, Dog can be rather cheesy sometimes : )- he has a good message for the most part, and it's entertaining! At the end of the show he was arriving at a school to make a motivation speech on life, and at the end of his speech he said something that hit me- "No one is perfect- just keep tryin'." I'm sure this has been said before, but for some reason it hit me differently this time. The reminder, at that particular time, is what I needed.
Perfection is something we all strive for, at one point or another, in our personal and/or work lives. Although, it may be something we aspire to have- I wonder if perfection can be a double sided sword. If you are "too" good at something some people seem to be intimidated by that. Yet, if you are not "good enough" it seems to be looked down upon. There is a happy medium somewhere, but who is to say what that that level is?
I'm one of those who plug away at everyday life struggling to be perfect, but never seeming to get where I'd like to be. We all need to be reminded at some point that we all make mistakes, and unfortunately I make a load of them. My mind is faster than my hands to write down everything I think about- the ending result is me forgetting.
The point I'd like to make is this: we all make our fair share of mistakes, and we also make a wonderful amount of great things happen, but we will never be perfect however hard you may try. You just have to keep trying!
