Slump

6.22.11

Here at Reindeer, as you've read, it is our summer season- which is our busiest time of year. We have lots of work flowing in, and it's a time in which you can never seem to catch up as much as you try. I love this time as your days go by incredibly fast, and before you know it the work day is over.

Lately I seem to be in slump though…just not up for the hustle and bustle of life. My "funks"- as I like to call them- seem to come in phases…and I can hardly wait for them to pass. They seem to come at the most inopportune times- when it's wonderful outside and the work load is tripled. My mind doesn't seem to want to run at the pace I need it to. My list of "things to do" is growing, and I can't seem to muster up the "umph" to get them done as needed. Can you relate?

I have always seemed to be an "on the go" kind of person- always somewhere to be and something going on. I love summer- the outdoors, the memories we make, and the many things going on. The more things I find I'd like to do the slower I seem to get.

I promise that I will force my way out of this funk sooner rather than later, but in the mean time it felt wonderful to release my thoughts on it. I hope that if anyone is feeling the same that you find your way out as well- and let me know a remedy. :) We need the reminder to keep our heads up, enjoy the weather and those around us, and the memories that summer brings.

Good luck! :)
